Late in the summer some of the Vulcan crew noticed some softening of the deck, so Bob
decided to take her on a little trip to Florida, to visit Ensign Doctor, Zeke Durika.
Bob
towed her to Dunedin late in autumn, missing snow going through the mountains, and arriving
safe and sound. No problem with errant trailer or boat unwilling to follow the truck on
that trip! Apparently Superman was not needed on the way...
Zeke found problems with the hull paint, and had to strip her down to the gel coat.
He got all the water out of her, pulled the deck and replaced it, along with the
floatation foam. Apparently it was bad under the deck, and when Zeke replaced the
foam, he found a hole he says was from a rat, that Bob says was a squirrel, from
the woods up north from where he rescued her...
Thanks, Zeke, for your hard work and restoration of our girl! We will see you in
Florida for MidWinters!
