On December 8, 2008 we lost Bob Edwards, a good friend of the Ensign Fleet, to pancreatic cancer. Bob was a family man and friend to all, Ensign skipper, NCWSA team coach, competitor, HAM radio hobbyist, professor at CWRU, and much more.

A celebration of Bob's life was held on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Many of us who attended learned things about him that we didn't know. It was our honor to have known him!

He loved his family, and made his Ensign friends feel like extended family. In the photo at left, you can see Bob at the helm of Wotthehell during Cleveland Race week about 4 years ago.
